Eight years of hard work and finally our friend Klara Perahya’s masterpiece, the Ladino-Turkish dictionary is out for sale.
Nearly 15000 words of the Judeo-Spanish language have been dokumented with lots of synonyms, examples and sentences. Every word has its accent to facilitate the pronunciation. The dictionary also contains the grammatical basis of Judeo-Spanish together with the rules and tables of verbs. A section has also been reserved for proverbs and idioms typical in Judeo-Spanish so as to give readers a good idea about the sephardic culture and also a good opportunity to see a lot of the words in context. This dictionary is undoubtedly an important cultural treasure to transmit to future generations.
